China to Philippines: what will door-to-door shipping really cost?
A low freight rate is only useful when you know what it covers. For a door-to-door shipment, compare the cost of reaching the same Philippine address with the same cargo details and services.
Start with the packed shipment
Send the product description, number of cartons, packed dimensions, gross weight, supplier location and delivery address. Mention batteries, liquids, fragile goods or other special handling needs. Ask which measurements are estimates and when they will be checked.
Compare matching scopes
A quote to a port and a quote to your shop cover different journeys. Ask whether the offer starts at the supplier or a receiving warehouse, and whether it ends at a local warehouse or your exact address.
- Confirm the charging basis and any minimum charge.
- Check pickup, handling, freight, clearance, duties and taxes, and final delivery.
- Ask about unloading, storage, special equipment and delivery access.
Make changes visible before dispatch
Ask how a change in packed size, weight, quantity or destination affects the quote. Confirm its currency, validity and payment terms. A revised packing list should lead to an updated cost discussion before you commit.
Bring the whole picture to PGH
Share the supplier details and your Philippine receiving address. Ask for a written scope with the included services, any separate charges and the details still awaiting confirmation. Keep that quote with the packing list and shipment reference so later questions have a clear starting point.
